  1. It's true what they say. The listening people (research) are separate to the talking people (marketing) but what is more of a fundamental issue is that the listening occurs specifically around online campaign activity and there could be a much stronger argument for merging social media exploration/evaluation with traditional MR agencies for a richer understanding of the meaning of the conversation. I believe that strong qualitative analysis is the key to a successful two way conversation between brand and consumer. We could all benefit from working more closely together instead of operating in our individual silos
